Profession Window Tips:
The numbers displayed in a circle around your profession icon are your character's level.
As you complete each level, there will be a red indicator that will dial around showing you what levels you have completed.
Around the outside of the profession skill wheel are the special moves your character will earn. In the example above, the smuggler will earn Fast Draw at level 4. This character will earn more special abilities at level 7, 10, 14 18 and on up through fully developing your character.
In the upper right hand box of the Profession Window, you can find the description box for special moves. Simply click on the Special Move located around the outside of the dial and you can see the description of your special ability.
In the lower right hand box of the Profession Window, you will see your Reward information. For each special ability you earn, you may also earn other types of rewards such as a blaster or a backpack. All the rewards for each special ability will be listed in this box.
In the middle of the profession dial, you will see the description of your character's development. Smuggler's start out as a "Runner" in Phase 1.
At the bottom of the Profession Window, you can see 4 phase buttons. Each of these buttons can be pressed to see what the next stages of character development are. There are 4 phases for every profession.
You can also click on the "Space" tab to find your Pilot Skills profession window. The Space Profession window works the same way.
To close the Profession Window, simply press "P". You can open this window again at any time by pressing "P".
To Respec Your Character

Simply double-click the Character Respec Device and the Profession Respec Window will open up. Choose the next profession you want to try and have fun!Note : Your Character Respec Device has 10 charges. Once you have used all 10 respecs you will no longer have the opportunity to change your profession with this item.
Profession Restart Kit - Formerly Anti Decay Kits
Existing players who have claimed the "Anti-Decay" kit will have an additional respec option available to them.
With the removal of item damage and decay, the "Anti-Decay Kit" veteran reward is not as useful as it once was. Rather than deleting these items or leaving them with a useless ability, they are being changed into a new rare useful item: the Profession Restart Kit.
The Profession Restart Kit is similar to the "respec item" which all existing players will receive at login, but with some very important differences:
The Profession Restart Kit allows you to change your class, but does NOT convert any pre-existing combat levels. Unlike the "respec item", the Profession Restart Kit does not convert your combat levels to the new class. It only changes your class. If you are a level 90 Bounty Hunter and you use the Profession Restart Kit to choose Smuggler, for example, then you will become a level 1 smuggler. The Profession Restarter kit is tradable, whereas the 10-charge profession respec item is not tradable.
The Profession Restarter kit is one-shot only. Once you use it to change classes, it will cease to exist. - ADK kits which have not been applied to items will convert automatically to Profession Restart Kits when you login. ADK's that have been applied to items will turn into Profession Restarter Kits when they are removed from the item to which they have been applied.
